Keller... active in the communities we serve.
Employees Lend a Hand with Rebuilding Together Fox Valley Project Day Over 40 Keller Employees worked together to make improvements to the home of Pennie Kavanaugh on Saturday, May 3. Rebuilding Together Fox Valley is a non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and revitalize homes and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, specifically seniors and those with disabilities can continue to live in warmth, safety and independence. Keller employees poured new concrete sidewalks, rebuilt a deck and window wells, painted and landscaped. Keller Employees Build Cabins for YMCA Camp Keller, Inc. donated the materials and constructed seven cabins for the YMCA of the Fox Valley Camp Nan A Bo Sho on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Keller's Corporate office located at N216 State Rd. 55, Kaukauna. "This was Keller's chance to use our expertise and give back to the community," said Tracy Williams-Prince, Marketing Coordinator. "Our vendors were supportive of our mission to help, and gave discounts on materials; our employees were supportive and are donating their time. A project like this one really brings our community together."
Keller, Inc. held a company record-breaking food drive in the first two weeks of December with its 200 Employee Owners. What started out as an ordinary food drive at Keller had quickly turned into a festive company wide competition between departments and regional offices as Keller kicked off their annual food collection. An innocent email from one employee encouraging others to match a donation was the catalyst to see which department would donate the most. The ultimate goal to "fill one truck" turned into the possibility of filling many more, with Keller crews alone donating over $800 in food. The Loaves and Fishes pantry in Kaukauna benefited from the donations. As the food drive came to an end, cases of food and paper products filled the entire Keller lobby. Chair of Keller's Charitable Giving Committee, Dena Wyngaard, said "This has far exceeded our wildest expectations. It was fun to see our employees donating food for such a great cause and trying to out-donate each other. When you walked through the office, the spirit of giving was contagious." Trucks were filled and food was delivered to the pantry on Monday, December 17th. Food collected in the Milwaukee office was also delivered to their local pantry. |
